Termites can impose significant damage to a home,
enough to devastate
both structural integrity and the pocketbook. Unlike other wood-borne
insects, termites do not nest inside structures; it's nothing more than a
source of food to support an underground colony elsewhere. Fortunately,
damage occurs relatively slowly over the course of three to eight
years. Early detection of a termite infestation can help keep damage,
and repairs, to a minimum.
